About Seed potatoes victoria inc.

Seed Potatoes Victoria Inc. (SPV) represents approximately 50 certified seed producers in Victoria; central to Ballarat, Kinglake, Gippsland, Portland and the Otways.

The representative body is made up of delegates from each seed growing area. The delegates meet regularly to discuss issues pertinent to its members. These meetings are also attended by members of the DEDJTR, Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport & Resources and AUSVEG Vic and VFF.

Disease, pests and other threats, marketing, OH&S, technology and innovation are some of the issues discussed at the meetings. With the support of this cross section of industry representatives, SPV is capable of handling most issues efficiently and initiating new projects that are relevant to the ever changing environment in which its members operate.
